Comparison - Whiteboard and canvas SDK
Winy vs tldraw
tldraw is a fast whiteboard you can use or build on; Winy is a native canvas where your coding agents run as live cards next to your ink.
tldraw is three things: a free whiteboard at tldraw.com with real-time collaboration, tldraw offline, a free file-based desktop app that local agents can edit and script, and an SDK for building canvas apps.
Winy is a native infinite-canvas notebook for Mac, iPad and iPhone where real agent sessions like Claude Code and Codex run as live cards on the board.
In tldraw offline an agent edits the file from outside, while in Winy the agent session itself is on the board, where you can watch it, prompt it and draw next to it.

Questions
Is there a tldraw desktop app?
Yes. tldraw offline is a free, file-based desktop app with no accounts and no server, released in July 2026. Winy is also a desktop app, native on Mac, and runs natively on iPad and iPhone too.
Is tldraw free?
tldraw.com and tldraw offline are free to use. The tldraw SDK is free in development, but production use needs a license key: a 100-day trial, a hobby license with a watermark, or a commercial license.
Can Claude Code use tldraw?
Yes. Agents like Claude Code and Codex can read, edit and add scripts to tldraw offline files on your computer. In Winy the Claude Code session runs as a live card on the board, so you prompt it and draw next to it in one place.
Can I collaborate with my team in Winy?
Not today. Winy is single user, with the same board on your Mac, iPad and iPhone. For live shared boards, tldraw.com is the better choice.
