Comparison - Web browser
Winy vs Safari
Safari is where you browse on your Apple devices; Winy is where the pages you work with sit next to everything else.
Safari is Apple's web browser for Mac, iPhone and iPad, with Tab Groups, Profiles, tracking prevention and iCloud sync of tabs, bookmarks and passwords.
Winy is a native app for Mac, iPad and iPhone that gives your work one infinite board, where a web page can sit as a live card beside terminals, notes, Pencil ink, images and agents.
Safari stays your browser; the difference is that a page in Safari lives in a tab or a Tab Group, while a page on a Winy board lives next to the notes and agents you are using it with.

Which one is for you
Choose Safari if
- You want a private, fast browser built into every Apple device you own.
- You organize the web with Tab Groups and Profiles and share Tab Groups with others.
- You want your tabs, bookmarks and passwords synced through iCloud and Handoff.
Choose Winy if
- You keep a docs page, a terminal and your notes open together and want them on one board instead of across tabs and windows.
- You want to draw over a page with the Pencil on iPad while you read it.
- You want the agents working on a task to sit right next to the pages and notes for that task.
- You want to come back to a piece of work and find every page, note and agent where you left it.
Using both
Keep Safari as your browser on every Apple device. In Winy, the pages that belong to a piece of work go on the board next to its terminals, notes and agents, so the work lives in one place on your Mac, iPad and iPhone instead of in a Tab Group.
Questions
Is Winy a web browser?
No. Winy can put a live web page on the board, but it is a board for all your work, not a replacement for Safari. Keep Safari for everyday browsing.
How is a Winy board different from a Safari Tab Group?
A Tab Group collects pages. A Winy board holds pages next to the terminals, notes, Pencil ink and agents you use with them, laid out where you put them.
Does Winy work on iPad like Safari does?
Yes. Winy runs on Mac, iPad and iPhone and shows the same board on each, with the Mac running the agents.
Is Winy an operating system?
No. Winy is an app for macOS, iPadOS and iOS. It runs on top of your operating system and becomes the place you work.
Is Winy available now?
Winy is in early access. You can join the waitlist on winy.ai.
