Winy

Comparison - AI coding agent

Winy vs Claude Code

Claude Code is the agent that writes the code; Winy is the board where your Claude Code sessions live next to your notes.

Claude Code is Anthropic's agentic coding tool, and it runs in your terminal, your IDE, a desktop app and the browser.

Winy is a native infinite-canvas notebook for Mac, iPad and iPhone, where real Claude Code sessions sit on the board as live cards beside your notes, ink and images.

They are not substitutes: Winy does not have its own model or agent, it gives the Claude Code sessions you already run a place to live and be seen.

Which one is for you

Choose Claude Code if

  • You want the agent itself: Claude Code is what reads your codebase, edits files and runs your tests.
  • You live in an IDE or the terminal and want inline diffs and a CLI you can script and run in CI.
  • You want cloud sessions, scheduled routines or GitHub and Slack integrations from Anthropic directly.

Choose Winy if

  • You run several Claude Code sessions and want to see all of them, and what each is doing, on one board.
  • You think with notes, arrows and a Pencil, and want that thinking sitting right next to the agents, visible to them.
  • You want the same board on your Mac, iPad and iPhone, synced over your own network.

Using both

Use both. Keep running Claude Code the way you do now, and Winy attaches to those sessions and puts each one on the board as a live card. The card can show the conversation instead of the terminal grid, turns Claude Code's choices into buttons, and says in one line what the agent is doing, while your notes and sketches sit beside it.

Questions

Does Winy work with Claude Code?

Yes. Winy runs real Claude Code sessions as cards on the canvas, and it can attach to sessions you already have running in your terminal.

Is Winy a Claude Code GUI?

In part. A Claude Code card in Winy can show the conversation natively, with pickers as buttons, but Winy is a notebook first: the agents share a board with your notes, ink and images.

How do I run multiple Claude Code agents at once and keep track of them?

Claude Code's own desktop app runs sessions in parallel. Winy puts each session on one infinite canvas, with status lights for working, waiting and done, and a one-line summary of what each agent is doing.

Do I need a Claude subscription to use Claude Code in Winy?

Yes. Winy does not include a model. Claude Code needs a Claude Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise plan, or an Anthropic Console account billed at API rates.

Can I use Claude Code on an iPad with Winy?

Yes. The Mac runs the agents, and the same board, with its agent cards, opens on your iPad and iPhone.

Thinking is Winning

Think with your agents.

Winy is a Mac, iPad and iPhone canvas where you think and work with AI agents in one place. Better thinking in, better output.
